Once upon a time.... there was a mum and a dad,
who had already been together for a few years.
And suddenly there was a marriage proposal

and we two little Frenchies absolutely wanted to be there on the wedding day.

So be it!
And now a whole year has already gone by.
A look back and a memory for you and for us.

Planning and Preparations for a Dog-Friendly Wedding

Unpaid advertising, because the bride was super happy with everything.

We haven't seen our mum this excited in a long time. Babsi explains to us exactly what needs to be organised and thought through. The to-do list consists of:

  • Venue
  • Photographer
  • Wedding dress and suit for the groom
  • Shoes
  • Outfits for the dogs
  • Wedding rings
  • Wedding cake
  • Floristry
  • Music
  • Guest list
  • Invitations and other stationery
  • Decorations
  • and much more

Well, that's quite a long list... Good thing neither of us was left out. Otherwise we wouldn't have taken part in this dog-friendly wedding. ;)

The Bride's Styling

We have to be honest and say that we were kept out of things a little here. Our dog mum actually went to Vienna without us to try on the wedding dress. On top of that, she spent an entire afternoon with her cousin in Vienna trying on shoes for the wedding.

Can you imagine that? Just shoes!! An entire afternoon long....

And she didn't take us to the styling trial either. She said it was supposed to be a surprise for everyone to see what she'd look like as a bride. We love her no matter what, but as she wishes ;)

Wedding Dress, Shoes and Rings

Babsi found her beautiful dress at Steinecker Brautmoden.
The dreamy shoes were Louboutin. Thanks to iii, Phil and Matti – a long-held dream came true for our little lady.
And the super wonderful, fair, sustainable rings are from the lovely Tina at Filia Aurea. We even got to come along for that one :)

Getting ready

The morning of the wedding was all about getting ready. We stayed with the groom. After all, our little man needed a bit more calming down than our lady did ;)
Babsi visibly enjoyed having her make-up and hair done by Kerstin Szinovats. As did Bibi, her maid of honour, and the mother of the bride.

The Venue for a Dog-Friendly Wedding

Landgasthaus Krone in Gaaden near Mödling

The Landgasthaus Krone in Gaaden near Mödling, which has been run by the Pöchhacker family for several generations, won us over on many counts.

  1. the delicious food!
  2. the venue itself!!
  3. the wonderful wedding garden DESERVES a special mention!!!
  4. the fantastic service!!!!
  5. the professionalism & friendliness of Lisi and Robert Pöchhacker!!!!!
  6. and especially important for us: dogs (WE) are warmly welcome!!!!!!

There are certainly many more points in favour of the Krone, but the most important things have been said, and a dog-friendly wedding is something we can absolutely recommend.
Thank you, dear team, for making our mum and dad's day something truly special!

The Ceremony

Romantic, just as our lady had wished. The weather held, all the guests were in good spirits, and we were right there with them. It couldn't have been more beautiful:

The Wedding Celebration

The Wedding Flowers

Mama loves colour. And the wonderful Martina Hladovsky from Floristikwerkstatt fulfilled that wish sooo beautifully. She was super happy with her bridal bouquet and all the arrangements.

The Finest Sweets: The Wedding Cake

Can you guess who you'll find as decoration on the wedding cake at a dog wedding? Us, of course: Archie and Murphy!!! How could it be any other way.
There's only one of us, of course. But as marzipan figures — well, it had to be done! Don't you think they captured us perfectly?

This sweet cake and all the delicious treats came from Herwig Gasser.

The Wedding Photos

A lovely young man — this Roman Pfeiffer — whom our dog parents already knew from Nina's and Dave's wedding. We thought he was great too and let him snap a few photos of us, though on this particular day we weren't quite as much in the spotlight as usual.

Fair enough to give the two of them a turn. Most of the time it's us two who are the main stars around here ;)

Love doesn't have to be perfect,
just real.
