In 4 days the Football World Cup kicks off in Russia. It runs until 15 July and will be held in 11 different cities across 12 World Cup stadiums. The final takes place at the Luzhniki Olympic Stadium. The only question is:
Who Will Be World Champion?
And that's the theme of the miDoggy Monthly Paw Photo for June.
I have to admit that since Austria didn't qualify, I'm not exactly beside myself with excitement. My favourite human is interested, but in a very manageable way, so we'll watch the more interesting matches — but will definitely skip a few too ;)
We'd much rather spend the warm summer evenings with our "ball junkie" Murphy. He's a fan of every size and shape of round happiness. And as luck would have it, a little football showed up at our last family get-together.
Let the Game Begin.
Our little World Cup is being settled between Sigi, Romy, Utopia, Tornado and Murphy in Vienna. In the group stage they all chase the ball together.
Joshi, Papa, Emilio and Jack make an enthusiastic audience. Sigi tries to get the ball into the goal, closely followed by Romy and Tornado. Utopia and Murphy form the defence.
After the first feint, Utopia is temporarily out of the game. Murphy attacks from the right flank but can't get Sigi under control. Tornado tries to block Romy's run on goal. Papa Emilio's 4 blondies are giving it their all.

Semi-Final.
In the semi-final, Sigi, Utopia and Murphy take to the field. All 3 Frenchies are highly focused, showing plenty of ambition and tireless ball persistence.
At some point Utopia steps back and lets the two gentlemen contest the final.

The Highlight — The Final!
The moment has come — Sigi and Murphy give it everything in the final sprint! The Frenchie half-brothers want to find out who's the best with the ball and can rightfully call themselves World Champion.

It's a draw, because both played brilliantly and fairly.
Besides, we'd have to extend the scoring to a triathlon, since discus throwing and wrestling were also on the programme at the family get-together.
My World Champion Is:
Our little "Frenchman" MURPHY, of course!
He doesn't just have an amazing feel for the ball — he's also a team player with his whole heart! That, and so much more, makes him my World Champion in my heart ♥

A Little Prediction to Close.
I heard on the radio that EA Sports is predicting FRANCE as this year's World Champion! That would fit perfectly with the match played between all our little Frenchies.
